What I like is that Gannon said after watching the film he came to the conclusion Tune or Murray will start.

So he defended his QB after the game but then sat down and watched the tape, realized how poorly Dobbs actually played, and made a change.

I like that.
He didn't just defend his QB. That would be fine, laudable even. He stated he would start. There's a plethora of options to defend your QB without stating he's the starter right after the game.

I really do think it’s a legitimate sign of wisdom from any Coach I’d want for my team. The ability to assess and then admit he was wrong is a quality I actually think is important, especially as a leader.
I'd rather he not make himself look stupid by making stupid statements he then has to completely switch, but yeah. At least he made the right choice in the end.

You play your best players, if KM is ready, you play him he's by far the best QB on the team period. And only he and the coaches know if he's ready, not us lol. Scared for another injury is no way to play, he's gonna play eventually might as well be as soon as physically possible

I wouldn't start Murray yet. For me that would be an act of desperation by the staff.

He would only have one week of practice with the 1st team, and considering that Tune will need to take at least half those reps not even a full week.

And start on the road, against Myles Garrett, a top ranked defense and without James Conner? Seems like a bad plan. Give Tune a run.

Let Kyler return with more practice, at home, with Conner back to lean on vs the Falcons.

Have there been any rumors of maybe trading Dobbs to the Vikings. I understand he’s not worth much, if anything, but they’re obviously desperate. With their beautiful facility, maybe we can get a nice couch in return lol.

Why? Much better options out there and probably the same level player on their roster already.

If they decide to tank - they go with what they have now.
If they want to compete this year - Jameis Winston seems like a solid option.

All true, but only having to give up a couch has to be tempting. I know what decision Bill Bidwill would have made lol.

One things for sure. Gannon doesn't take any prisoners.

If you don't perform to his standards he doesn't accept it. Dobbs benched, K'Von Wallace cut, Kei'Trel Clarke benched for Starling Thomas.

He doesn't pussyfoot around.

Teams were really starting to pick on Clark though. Wilson still has the hope that he can actually make a play because he has in the past.

Clark started to look like a guy that could stay with his man while his man caught 13/15 passes for 160 yards and two TDs.
Wouldn’t be the first rookie to get schooled. The key is where’s his self-confidence.

If I were betting I’d guess he starts Tune. If he does okayGannon can say they’ve worked hard to get him to this point. If he fails, it confirms Dobbs was the better choice. They need to bring Baccellia up from the practice squad again if it’s Tune. They have rapport.

Tune and Dortch also had a good rapport in preseason

The depth is the issue there. Losing Watkins and Collier means the DL is super thin. Like I said a week or two ago, I'm kind of shocked we aren't seeing weekly shuttling of DL off of other teams PS.

Still has been a happy surprise. Has one less sack that Zach Allen on far less snaps.
