YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – South Side Boxing Club capped off another sold-out show with a win from Chris Vass in the main event on Saturday night.
Vass, a Cardinal Mooney sophomore, improved his amateur boxing record to a perfect 11-0 in front of the home crowd.
“I feel great, I’m glad that all my hard work paid off, that’s why we train at 6 a.m. seven days a week for,” Vass said. “It’s awesome, especially at a venue like this, Jack puts on greater shows than anyone ever, he’s the best at what he does, and he does a great job of preparing me. I’m just glad to get back out in front of a hometown crowd.”
The night included seven total fights out at Penguin City Brewing Company.
