No. 10 Maryland men’s lacrosse attacker Eric Spanos was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
The senior recently returned from injury and notched a career-high eight goal effort in the Terps’ victory over Michigan Saturday. His eight goals are the most my a Maryland player since Jared Burnhardt potted eight against the Wolverines in 2021.
His four-goal second quarter also marked the most goals scored by a Terps in a single frame since 2021. If Spanos can maintain this level of production alongside the stellar duo of Leo Johnson and Chris Lyons, the Terps may be able to build some significant momentum before the postseason arrives.
