After a long-winded 2026 collegiate season and grueling U.S. women’s national team practices, Maryland women’s lacrosse alum Kori Edmondson came out swinging in her professional debut. The former Terp scored twice for the New York Charging Saturday.

Edmondson is no stranger to scoring, leading Maryland over its last two seasons with 108 total goals and 135 total points. She consistently displayed prowess as a two-way midfielder, however, causing 40 turnovers and snagging 173 ground balls over her four years in College Park.
Her play as a Terp has earned the midfielder many accolades, including consensus first-team All-American honors, multiple appearances on Tewaaraton Award watchlists and, most recently, selection as the No. 4 pick in the inaugural WLL college draft.
Her two goals in her first appearance proved critical for the Charging, as it went on to take down the Maryland Charm, 12-10, in the contest. Edmondson looks to maintain her pivotal role on her new squad, maintaining consistency from her days at Maryland.
