Also, when the boat caught fire, i told my wife it was the kid....but I thought he sort of did it with his head...and maybe he did, Locke didn't say HOW he did it.

Again the kid with the dice...rolling the number he wants...Hurley owes him $83,000....

Great episode...a lot of tension, love the backstory on the asian couple...

Locke is awesome.

IMO, the common thread is that they were all 'lost' in one way or another in their own lives. The island represents this, but it also represents opportunity for a new life, a second chance.

Despite being marooned on an island with dangers around, aren't they all better off?

Locke seems to be the only one to get that, which is interesting.... John Locke the caracter= John Locke the philosopher.

I wonder if JJ Abrams named him John Locke for that very reason.
