If Berry can teach "BIG" what it takes to hold off a speed rushing DE then we'll have something. I'm impressed with his comment that Davis is a great athlete (but what else is he going to say, although he didn't have to offer this tidbit up) and that he only wins these battles as much as he loses them. Could it be that by the start of the season, we might.....just might have an answer to the LT position. Clearly, we will not go back to Shelton as the LT.

I suppose it "good business practice" to cross fertilize as many players as possible. Joshua Rue is a pretty big boy......not many 6'4" 245 lbs. RB's in the league. If he can learn to block from the RB position he adds real value.

I'm convinced that given another three weeks or so, Stephanovich will start to show that he belongs......I hope so anyway.

This "internship" with Rolando Cantu is neat.......and he doesn't count as a roster player for us.....effectively has a free pass throughout the year.

I've known Jo for some time now. The writing is the best in the state. Brings home the feeling of the players talking directly to us. I wish she would get a job with the Republic as a Cards beat writer. Then we would get more personal looks at the players on our team. Not just bash, push and shove.

We are all excited about this years defense. There are many guys that want to show the world that we are going somewhere. Now just a little luck(Thank you lord for Q's small injury), and who knows how far we can go!

Thanks Jo!

When I see Rue, I keep thinking of John Riggins as all the stories Brighteyes tells from those days and the Skins.

I can tell you this, there are very few DBs that are going to either want to or be able to tackle this guy if he gets moving.

The words flow like the crystal clear water of a mountain stream.

Spot on...great to read.

Loved it,

That is one of the most enjoyable articles I've read in a long time and that's in all of print, not just sports.

It couldn't have come at a better time.
Thanks!

If I can't be there to capture the feeling of Camp, at least I know I Jo's there and will be feeding me all the sights, flavors, smells and sounds of practice - as only she can.

Rue observations told us stuff we haven't heard this season til now.
