Lamar Jackson response to Myles Garrett trade shows Browns messed up again originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Moving on from Myles Garrett definitely raised a lot of questions about the Cleveland Browns now and in the future, but they were also able to get a very good player in return.
The Browns are in a decent spot right now on the defensive side of the football, though losing Garrett will certainly have some level of impact. Jared Verse is a very good player in his own right, but there's no debating that Garrett is just a completely different level of player, and that's not a bad thing.
However, one superstar in the AFC North made the trade clear, with Lamar Jackson expressing his excitement about the deal.
“(Verse) is good too!” Jackson said, per Jamison Hensley. “He good too. Shouts out to him. Shouts out to Myles, congratulations on that. But yes! That's awesome.”
Jackson not having to deal with Garrett throughout the year is certainly a positive for him and the Baltimore Ravens. It's cool to see that he also gave some love to Verse, but let's be honest, his reaction to Garrett not being on the roster speaks a lot louder than what he had to say about the new edge rusher.
