Kyler will forever be known as the perpetual potential guy. We have seen it on these forums....well next year....well next year....well next year. We were 7 years into "next year". I even fell into that trap for multiple seasons. He may prove everyone wrong but it was never going to be on this team and I honestly don't think he will on whatever team he ends up at either.

The concern they have and Shanahan finally said it is we have no idea when or even if Purdy will be healthy this year.

Kylers only chance of success is to have a system built 100% around him. The problem with that is that it does not maximize other players, tends to lead to injury.

Are we sure that Brock isn’t just faking it because he’s seen a better quarterback operate the offense?
It’s a little complicated, but Purdy is better. He’s far more mobile. Also Jones is working with a far more limited playbook, especially with regard to deep throws. I’ll grant Jones has played exceptionally will, but Purdy has won big.

Imo Mac Jones is much more talented than Brock Purdy...and has a bit more tools to work with.
Imo Purdy was absolutely brilliant when he came into the league...all pro athletes have ego...especially quarterbacks....but Brock Purdy left his at his draft party. Dude showed up in Frisco like a fresh block of clay just ready to be molded with zero resistance...
For a guy to totally disregard all that he knew and just be open to doing exactly as he is told is difficult for any man but for a QB its an amazing accomplishment.
The result is a developed set of skills that maximize his talent to the fullest.
If they could do exactly the same with Mac Jones then Purdy will get traded...but i don't think they can... Jones won't be able to fully check his ego like Purdy did

Purdy signed a 265 million extension in May, there is no question he's their starter if he's healthy. Jones has done well, his season is actually better than purdy but again Purdy has basically been hurt the whole year he hurt his toe in the first game of the season, aggravated it a few weeks later and has been out since.

That's not how it works - four weeks is the minimum, not the maximum. He could be re-instated any time after four weeks.
He had that with Kingsbury, but he quit on Kingsbury after the Packers game and threw him under the bus.
If it's the Orgs fault why is Jacoby playing much better?
If he truly believes that Kyler is ALL THAT then why would @602 Native not be happy with Jacoby starting since he is playing better than Kyler? He should be really happy for Jacoby.
As predicted, this is what we'll be dealing with for years from the Murray-stans - it's all they have left. "Murray really WAS great, and he WOULD have shown it on the field, but it was the Cardinals' fault that he was held back from his potential."
Even if the Cardinals ARE a lousy organization, after failing with two regimes that each tried to build a system to get the most out of him, Murray has no one to blame for his failure but himself.

Personally, I've always wanted Kyler to succeed because I was told he's too small. He and I are the same size and I heard much of the same thing growing up. I knew his window would be short, similar to other smaller players who can't take the hits constantly in an NFL season. I probably hung on to that blind hope too long. Kyler will get another shot and Ill be rooting for him to succeed. I doubt we'll see him in a Cardinals uniform again and I'm ready for the next chapter.
My only remaining hope is all of the character assassination around his foot stop. Way too many people making up stories to justify their hatred for him. The Cardinals could easily clear this up and tell us his exact Injury, but they won't. Instead, some want to guess that IR is benching without benching him. Let me ask you this, who would DP and JG want as their back up, Jeff Driskel or Kyler Murray? If they are serious about winning games, Kyler is your back up if hes healthy.

I respect the hustle but you told this same story about Elijah Jones being actually injured and he’s still never appeared in an NFL game.
Would you believe that Kyler doesn’t want to back up Jacoby Brissett and would rather not play? Because I do.
