I remain rather unmoved. Yea the defense should be better, but I still expect this offense (running it back) to be inconsistent passing and frustrating.

Kyler has not proven to be good enough to make up for no deep threat or good YAC WR. He is what it is and we havent done anything this offseason to fix that offensively.

Still kudos to Monti. This squad is set up very well for 2026 if Kyler is the guy or whoever they bring in.

Let's say K1 statistically has about the same year this year that he had in 2024.

I think then he's our QB1 for 2026.

I'm guessing they go all in on offense the next offseason, with an emphasis on building a dominate offensive line.

I hear ya.

It was a great draft. However, there is just something about how we're hoping at best to "Alex Smith" this offense.

Im just watching Baker's career go in a different direction. Almost tempted throw some $ on long shot MVP odds for him.

kyler's stats didn't bother me in 2024

the second half of the season bothered me - when kyler would screw us early in crucial games

if we're doing the whole eagles murder row thing on defense then we can agree all kyler has to do is play mistake free football - more poise in the pocket - better decision making under pressure and limit turnovers - that's about it - right?

kyler is theoretically going to have more time on the field this year - all he theoretically has to do is not hurt the team (especially on our side of the field)

if he can do that he likely gets his next contract

What’s your list of QBs today that are good without a deep threat or good YAC WR?

No that's fair BGT. I bet this defense will get K1 some short fields too.

Please don't do the Elmer Fudd voice Stout.

I mean, it's just.. so bad. :) please.
I only break it out when the usual suspects get silly again. The poor little Kyler shtick is old and tired. Kyler is the one who let the team down last year. Until and unless he stops choking, I won't abide the poor little Kyler shtick. When it comes, so does the Elmer Fudd voice :)

Poor wittle Kywer has no receiwer to gwo deep!

Personnel matters.

as an example -- the Cowboys are catching heat for not taking a WR in the draft when the below is their WR core:

The Cowboys did not select a wideout for the first time since 2020, which leaves Jalen Tolbert, Parris Campbell, Ryan Flournoy, Jalen Brooks, and Jonathan Mingo as the complements to CeeDee Lamb on the Dallas offense.

Cardinal fans: whose WR core would you rather have for 2025? The above or the Cardinals.

I’m playing in a golf tournament at Shadow Creek in Vegas and it turns out my caddie is a huge Cardinals fan. He told me he’s caddied for Larry and also JJ Watt.
They both said when KK was there the locker room was toxic and Kliff let Kyler do whatever he wanted and held him to no accountability.
I’m paraphrasing now, but the team couldn’t stand Murray and thought he acted like an entitled little punk with no work ethic.

Kyler seems to have matured and hopefully that’s not the case anymore.
The environment when KK was there played a significant role in both of their retirements.

my wife worked at a yoga studio d-hop went to while in az - he comfortably said (in front of several people) that kyler "sucks"

but honestly - d-hop probably says that about every qb that doesn't get him the ball enough

Great point- give me the WR of the cards any day. The cowboys outside of lamb is trash city

Sometimes top level athletes need to get embarrassed to realize the changes they need to make. Kyler definitely got embarrassed. Now we will see how much he is willing to change (he seems to have changed a bit already in terms of the people aspect). In the end, he has to produce wins for it to really matter.

he was immature, and didnt handle things the way they should have.

i also think the organization did him no favors: it practically threw itself as his feet as the savior.

add to that the org did Kliff no favors: everyone recognized that Keim was the guy who hired most of his staff

it just creates a dynamic where people question who really is in charge

That doesn’t seem like something Fitz or JJ Watt would say in public, but it does seem like something a random fan would say.

Because our offense was bad last year jaja? It didn't produce is what your telling us?
5 games where we scored less than 15 points

3 games without a single offensive touchdown

Similar to Kyler’s rollercoaster performances - this offense was also all over the place and certainly did not produce up to expectations throughout the season consistently. Aside from a couple games last season- were you really satisfied with the offensive unit? There’s a lot to prove this year

100%.. let’s not forget, aside from our running game, our OC Petzing was complete trash. Just read an article today even on how pathetically utilized route wise MHJR was used compared to his skill set. Really hoping this is simple a learning curve for Petzing, and he figures out more than the Nick Chubb running game plan in 2025. That’s about all Cleveland was ever good at.

Mods, honestly: we aren't supposed to use the laughing response but this is very good and fine? This is ugly and bad.
