For those of you who were cherishing a dream that Isaiah Evans could change his mind and come back, let it go, bruh.
He’s not coming back, and he confirmed that Wednesday. And that’s great. He has a dream, and he’s very close to achieving it. How many people get that close?
As for his prospects, they seem to be ticking up. In his most recent mock draft, Jonathan Wasserman has him going to the Lakers with the #25 pick. CBS has him going to Philly with the #22 pick. Maybe they realized trading great shooters from Duke early in their career is not the smartest thing to do.
And NBADraft.net has him as the #17 pick by OKC, where he would join Jared McCain, who came to the Thunder in that trade with Philly.
Anyway, things are looking pretty peachy for young Evans. Let’s hope the good news keeps coming.
