Seattle Seahawks fans are excited about having rookie running back Jadarian Price. With Kenneth Walker III now in Kansas City, and Zach Charbonnet recovering from a torn ACL injury suffered during the playoffs, Price appears to have a pretty straightforward path to immediate playing time. He could share the backfield with George Holani and Emanuel Wilson to start.

Price is obviously the most talented back in Seattle heading into training camp. He's also the biggest investment at the position from general manager John Schneider. So the question goes begging, how many rushing yards can Price accumulate as a rookie?

Last year's rookie rushing leader was TreVeyon Henderson with 987 yards. Ashton Jeanty wasn't far behind with 975. In 2024, Bucky Irving led all rookie running backs with 1,122 yards. New Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Fleury is tasked with navigating this backfield. Holani and Charbonnet (once healthy) will be involved. That could somewhat limit Price's rookie year rushing output.

It's probably safe to expect Price to rush for 600+ yards as a rookie. A 1,000-yard debut season feels within the realm of possibility if Charbonnet struggles to recover and get back into the lineup. Coach Fleury will have to make the best decisions to keep the backfield effective following Walker's departure.
