Suns miss Marion already. If he was playing, he's covering Peja and Bell is on CP3. The Suns would've been much better on the perimeter defense and not been so abused by Peja and Paul all night.

Awesome win for the Hornets without Chandler.

It would have been cool to have a win on the first day I am a Suns fan, but it was entertaining at least.

Well here come the Marion hawks come sweeping down and saying "We could have won that with Marion"..."Marion would have defended so and so" blah blah blah

This **** never ends on the forum. Getting tired of it.

Right, and maybe instead of Barbosa hitting those three's we have Shawn throw up a "WHAT WAS THAT?" airball like he did earlier against the Hornets.

I have no idea how you could complain about the defense on Peja, every shot he hit he did so against great defense. Most of those shots were just ********, and Shawn wouldn't have made a difference. The defense on Paul was bad, no idea why we were sagging off him the whole time.

Obviously the Suns didn't miss Marion at all. He probably would've done worse on Paul than Hill did. You like how Hill got that rebound at the end of the game? That was the "intangible" that Marion brought to the table.

If Marion was a ball handler that wouldn't make ******** turnovers at the end of the game, then he would've helped. Nash looked awful. I don't care about his 3's. If he hadn't played like crap those "big" shots wouldn't have been necessary. He couldn't hit some pretty simple jumpshots when the game was tied or the Suns had the lead. He could only hit when they were behind. That's a losing mentality.

But so did the Hornets. Chris Paul was unreal on both ends. One team was bound to leave disappointed.

Who cares, NOBODY expected us to win, so how can anybody be disappointed in what was one of the best played games on both sides of the entire season. What a game.

Give me a break.
A few critical turnovers in the O.T.'s were the killer.
The SUNS defense & hustle was solid tonight.

Turnovers, particularly by Nash but also a late one by Diaw, killed us, plus Nash's defense.

Is anybody still doubting that the league has caught up on how to defend a Nash-led offense that is reason for the increased turnovers for Nash this season? Or is anybody still in denial and claiming that the System is just as effective as it was a couple of years ago?

Right, but as a Suns fan, I am going to say the Suns deserve it. When they both play their hearts out, I'm going to be rooting for my team to win it. I don't care what Paul played like, the Suns all around played damn good ball.

Typical Suns... losing to another top West team at home. They will win the next two and pump their chest for having the top record in the West.

Nash had triple double! 12 assits, 32 points, and 10 turnovers!

I think the turnovers did us in. Nash is not going to turn the ball over 10 times very often. There were a lot of them late in the 4th and in the first OT, and 1 in the second OT. Also, defensive rebounding hurt again.

Diaw is TERRIBAD. I wouldn't give two craps if we released him tomorrow and ate his contract. I just can't stand looking at him in a Suns uniform anymore.

Oh and by the way, if Amare plays defense and rebounds like that once we have Shaq back every night we may as well just get our ring now. Jeez.

Boris Diaw had a season high in points tonight and at many points kept the Suns in the game, what are you talking about?

Right, and maybe instead of Barbosa hitting those three's we have Shawn throw up a "WHAT WAS THAT?" airball like he did earlier against the Hornets.

I have no idea how you could complain about the defense on Peja, every shot he hit he did so against great defense. Most of those shots were just ********, and Shawn wouldn't have made a difference. The defense on Paul was bad, no idea why we were sagging off him the whole time.

To your first point, why would Marion be shooting those instead of LB? Its not like the Suns were going to ever trade LB. If the Suns didn't make the Shaq trade, LB is still on the team, so he can still hit those shots. So your point there is just insane.

Yes, the defense on Paul was bad, you know why? Because Steve Nash was on him most of the night. My point isn't so much about Marion on Peja as it is that Marion still being here allows Bell to guard Paul. Marions also longer and taller than Bell, thus a better fit to guard the taller Peja.

Obviously the Suns didn't miss Marion at all. He probably would've done worse on Paul than Hill did. You like how Hill got that rebound at the end of the game? That was the "intangible" that Marion brought to the table.

Who says Marion would've been on Paul. Marion would've been on Peja.

Who cares, NOBODY expected us to win, so how can anybody be disappointed in what was one of the best played games on both sides of the entire season. What a game.

When they said "Tyson Chandler isn't playing tonight" you didn't expect the Suns to win?

As usual, you miss the point entirely .I didn't say "wow, the Suns defense and hustle wasn't solid enough" just that the old rotation would've matched up better w/ New Orleans. They did a good job hustling and trying hard on defense (perhaps they were energized by the trade, who knows?), but that doesn't do you a whole lot of good in the NBA when Nash has to be the one to shut down CP3.

I'm not going to kill myself over this loss or anything, Peja made a very difficult shot to win (after the Suns made 3 very difficult 3's to keep the game going).

All I'm saying is, Raja Bell can cover Chris Paul better than Steve Nash, I don't think I'm crazy for saying that. And Shawn Marion on the team would've allowed Bell to slide over onto CP3.

Because if somehow that last shot didn't go in and the Suns won the game in 3OT, that would prove what exactly? There was nothing typical about this loss, unless you only look at the final outcome and not how the game was played.
