Two of the winningest programs in Section V girls basketball history meet to decide the Class A champion.

Honeoye Falls-Lima, the third seed in the tournament, has returned to the final and can capture its first title in nine years. The Cougars were one of the regions most dominant teams of the 2000s, capturing five titles in 10 years in that decade.

Our Lady of Mercy is one of only eight teams in section history with at least 10 championships. Most of those titles came in the 1980s and 1990s, but the Monarchs enjoyed a semi-recent resurgence with titles in 2016 and 2017.
