Mercy vs Batavia score, updates from softball championship game

ROCHESTER — Batavia will battle Our Lady of Mercy in the Section V Class A softball final on Saturday, May 30.

Neither side has appeared in a Section V championship game since 2023. Batavia booked its return trip by defeating No. 6 Wayne, 13-2, in the quarterfinals before a 3-2 victory over No. 7 Honeoye Falls-Lima in the semis.

Mercy's path to the finals included a 21-3, quarterfinal victory over No. 8 Newark and 13-1, semifinal triumph against No. 4 Geneva.

Mercy and Batavia are set for a 3 p.m. first pitch at Gates Chili High School.

Where is the Mercy vs. Batavia Section V softball championship game?​

Gates Chili High School, located at 1 Spartan Way, will host the Section V Class A final. It's the third of four games at the site, following finals in Class AA1 and AA2, and preceding the Class AAA final.
