Girls basketball large school all-state teams include 14 Section V players

Another final bow has been put on the 2025–26 high school girls basketball season.

The New York State Sportswriters Association released this season's large school all-state teams on Monday. The list, which encompasses schools in Class AAA, AA and A, includes 14 players from Section V (not including several others that were included among the honorable mentions).

Aquinas (Class AAA champion), Our Lady of Mercy (Class A champion), Pittsford Sutherland (Class AA-2 runner-up), Webster Schroeder (Class AA-1 champion) led the way with two selections apiece.

Mercy's Emerson Wandtke is the only first-team selection so far. The freshman center was also an All-Greater Rochester first-teamer and the MVP of the Class A section tournament.

Class AAA​

• Third team: AJ Orr (Aquinas)
• Ninth team: Loren Green (Aquinas)
• Honorable mentions: Samara Rizzo (Fairport)

Class AA​

• Second team: Lucy Bush (Pittsford Sutherland), Kenyatta Hart (Webster Schroeder)
• Sixth team: Petra Hunt (Pittsford Sutherland)
• Seventh team: Jordan Rasmussen (Penfield)
• Eighth team: Kylie Clement (Webster Schroeder)
• Tenth team: Sophia Frayne (Canandaigua)
• Twelfth team: Eva Dixon (Pittsford Mendon)
• Honorable mentions: Vanessa Chumacero (Victor), Kimora Hampton (Wilson), Maddie Murphy (Hilton), Leah Sheridan (Canandaigua)

Class A​

• First team: Emerson Wandtke (Our Lady of Mercy)
• Third team: Shaye Angelo (Honeoye Falls-Lima)
• Ninth team: Laura Kosten (Our Lady of Mercy), Semaj Jackson (East High)
• Eleventh team: Karina Natale (Newark)
• Honorable mentions: Shelby Geer (Palmyra-Macedon), Breyelle Geiger (School of the Arts), Jasmyne Jones (School of the Arts), Darianna Weathers (East High)
