Dan Lanning and a handful of Oregon Duck players are currently in Tokyo, Japan, for the "Tokyo-Oregon Football Showcase," and the University of Oregon is working to do everything it can to make this trip memorable.
If that means shipping the notorious inflatable Duck across the world for a meeting with Godzilla, then so be it.
On Thursday night, Oregon released a teaser video of the Ducks' mascot inflating "something" with some references to Godzilla baked in. While many Oregon fans were asleep, quarterback Dante Moore posted an image to his Instagram story confirming what many expected to be the case.
The inflatable Duck is in Tokyo, having a good old time with an inflatable Godzilla.
Sitting just above the now viral Dante Moore Heisman campaign billboards, the Duck and Godzilla are towering over downtown Tokyo. While Oregon fans surely see this and smile, you have to assume that many Japanese locals are probably wondering what's going on.
Who is this green and yellow athlete playing a foreign sport on our downtown building? Why is he here, and what the heck is a giant duck doing alongside Godzilla?

Good luck trying to explain that to anyone who needs to know.
Regardless of the reasoning, it's clear that Oregon is going all out with the Japan trip and is working hard to spread the name of the game and the name of the Ducks worldwide.
