My guess it that Glendale made their announcement so they could say you didn't quit, we fired you. Now, they can to a short term agreement until the new arena is built. Glendale holds leverage and get a good deal for the next two seasons.

Sure, the Coyotes are to blame for the missing payments but screw the City of Glendale for their low-class handling of things with the team. This all could have been handled without going public. They just want to make the Yotes look bad. Screw you Glendale. You only have sports teams because your city was full of empty space to build stadiums without affecting any people living in the area.
