I don’t blame Glendale for finally playing hardball in a public manner with this current iteration of a terrible organization. The only thing I blame them for is thinking it would work out in the first place. Although different people were running the city and team at that point. The constant is Bettman, who will never take Quebec seriously even with Winnipeg 2.0 as a comparison. And the figure in the linked article about the Coyotes generating $5 revenue per fan vs. Edmonton’s $43 is astonishing.

But I’m not saying the Coyotes should relocate. I’ve been part of a small but loyal fanbase blamed for the ills of terrible ownership. I hope it works out and they can privately finance an arena closer to their viable fan base.
