Is Marv not open here? I can see the safety, but unless he's Usain Bolt I'm not seeing how he's getting out there in time to make a play on the ball. Are these not the situations WR's and QBs want?

Would you not expect most QB's to make this?

Why does he run from a good pocket?

Even when he starts to run he's looking right at an open Marv, why not throw it then?

This is lame. You have no idea what was called and what the assignments are.
I mean, we can all see open receivers…. Freaking throw it to them. However, this is the problem. Kyler has shown my opinion that he just doesn’t see it. All too often.

My favorite threads every year. Still shots, no idea of the play call, no idea of the progressions. Still frames showing guys open after the QB has started running already. Assuming audibling out of passes to runs...this thread has it all and it's only week 1!!!!

I'm towards he end of the 2nd drive, it's the play after the delay of game around their 30th, and the first real pressure caused by the O line happened on this play. DT blows through Adams and Kyler has to bail right away. He did well to avoid the sack.

But it's also the play he throws it into the dirt with a wide open Trey waving at him. Which kills the drive and forces a FG.

This feel more like a "Bash Kyler-Too" than an "All 22" thread

You clearly have an agenda here

What do you want? All 22 of field goals and 4 yard passes to Mike WIlson stood still looking at him?

I'm picking out things that need highlighting that were missed, such as plays being audibled or TE's whiffing on blocks. It just so happens that a lot of it is Kyler sucking. I can't help that.

But does it help my case that Kyler sucks when the All 22 shows he sucks? Yes, yes it does. I can't help that either.

One of the reasons I know Kyler sucks is because I've done several of these All 22 break downs in the last 6 years and seen it all.

Oh jesus. Here we go with the screen shots again.

From a game where the QB has a passer efficiency rating of 108.8., yet the analysis is overwhelmingly negative because K1 doesn't complete 100% of his passes and make every play available.

Apparently all other QBs in the league complete 100% of their passes and make every play available.

to be balanced: the earlier Zay Jones deep route was a missed chance. Pretty clear

i dont think this one is -- if Marv was running a deep in, then there was a chance. Not a go route with a safety inside the numbers on that side. Thats a INT waiting to happen if he throws it.

We've told him, breakdown after breakdown that he has no idea what he's even looking at. Ex-NFL QBs have come out and basically said everything he's saying is wrong, time and time again, but he keeps trucking. Have to admire the tenacity

I believe the only way to understand if Kylers bad, average, good at this stuff is to know what other QBs do as well.

I suspect as an example that Josh Allen last week missed very few of these. Maybe 0. Maybe 10 and he ended up scrambling. I dont know.

So its hard to get worked up on this without context on what "normal" is for a good NFL QB.

I can see his point.

Maybe I’m wrong, & if so, correct me, but I don’t remember you ever doing All-22 with the defense since being on here. Would be nice to see the good & bad on that side as well.

I’m fine with the Kyler/offense All-22 stuff, but covering both sides would be cool.

Three reasons for this.

1, It takes enough time to watch all the offense without doing the defense too.

2, It's objectively easy to see bad offensive play. QB's make bad passes, miss open guys, linemen whiff on blocks etc. It's much more difficult on defense.

3, We have largely always known when our defense sucked and there has been no core group of guys saying "The defense is great actually", top 10 in the league, that needed pointing out that wasn't the case.

I don't know man. I debated this myself and came out with the safety is easily far enough away to complete it. If that safety is close enough I'm not sure how any pass over 15 ever gets made.
