This should be fun. We've seen the New Orleans Saints schedule joint practices with another team during the preseason here and there before, but head coach Kellen Moore is doubling down -- if not tripling down -- on it. He told reporters Thursday that the Saints will share the practice field with all three of the teams they'll play in exhibition games this summer.

Moore was asked by NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill whether the team had set up joint practices with their preseason opponents during training camp. He said the Saints will host the Jacksonville Jaguars for joint practices in Metairie before their preseason game at the Caesars Superdome before going to California ahead of their preseason game with the Los Angeles Rams. There, they'll practice with both the Rams and the Dallas Cowboys (who hold training camp nearby in Oxnard).

"These joint practices, I believe in them, just my exposure to them as a coach. It gives you a chance to get really good work with particularly your starters and your number ones. I think a lot of it comes with teaming up with the right organizations and I think we got that this year," Moore said.

New Orleans finalized its preseason schedule on Wednesday, announcing an Aug. 15 home game with the Jaguars followed by road games in Los Angeles on Aug. 22 and Dallas on Aug. 28. Whether or not fans will be allowed to observe joint practices remains to be seen, so keep an eye out for those details as we get closer to those dates.
