Good morning Dawg fans! It’s Friday and we have a lot of news to get to, so let’s not waste any time!

Basketball Dots

  • Top of mind for the Dawgs is the women’s team beating USC 76-64 to reach the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament, behind a 25 point effort from Elle Ladine. Percy Allen has more here. They face a tough test in the quarterfinals as they take on the 1 seeded UCLA Bruins today at 9 AM.
A performance for the ages…

Throwback Game of The Week

Did you know that Tyrone Willingham has a winning record against Chris Petersen? It’s true, as Ty and Coach Pete’s only head to head meeting came in 2007. Much of the roster from Boise State’s Fiesta Bowl win carried over into 2007, including running back Ian Johnson, but that didn’t matter to the Huskies, as they beat the Broncos 24-10. Other notables from this game include Louis Rankin’s 16 yard touchdown pass, and the fact that Titus Young and Austin Pettis were part of the Broncos’ receiving corps.

That’s all for today, so thank you for making Dots a part of your morning, and as always, Go Dawgs!
