Good Friday morning Dawg fans. There’s plenty of news to get to today, so let’s not waste any more time and get right to it!
Football Dots
- Our annual Spring Positional previews got underway Wednesday, with our own Raymond Lucas Jr. previewing the quarterbacks.
- And I covered the wide receivers and tight ends yesterday.
The players make the game.
Another day to pay the price for greatness.

Throwback Game Of The Week
Remember the Alamo? I’ve never been, but the Huskies have! Twice as a matter of fact, losing their first Alamo Bowl (in one of the craziest football games I can remember) to Baylor 67-56. But we’re not talking about that one today. Instead, we’re talking about 2022. This was the first of the Huskies’ 2 showdowns with the Longhorns, and I can remember a particular frustration with the ESPN crew being their effusive, fawning praise of Texas QB Quinn Ewers. Still, Michael Penix took what the defense gave him, leading the Huskies to a 27-20 victory with a 287 yard, 2 touchdown performance. Other highlights include Wayne Taulapapa breaking off a 42 yard touchdown run, the “Frankenstein” flea flicker, and Jalen McMillan leading the team with 5 catches for only 58 yards and a touchdown.
That’s all for today, so thank you all for making Dots a part of your morning and as always, Go Dawgs!
