Be nice to see this offense with a better RT, healthy Reiman and Connor/Benson.

The eagles run the most basic, boring offense and it works just fine.
No thanks on Conner. Dude was cooked even before the injury.

There's nothing wrong with this staff.

The offense is built for the players it has. Kyler was limited in what he could do and Jacoby is limited in what he can do, just in different ways. We don't have a Jamyr Gibbs or Bijan Robinson at RB. We don't have lightning speed or a great ball carrier like Deebo at WR.

Every game we have lost we have been in close games with no need to delve into the bag of tricks that teams normally only pull out when in desperate situations.
Do you adapt the players to your system or your system to the players?

My disagreement is simple. This coaching staff is not aggressive. I don’t believe timid staffs win in the NFL. You can look at injuries, QB play or a dozen other issues. To me it’s simple. The defense set back in multiple games while the opposition moved down the field to steal the game. Where was the defensive pressure? When they got in FG range where was the attempt to knock them out of that range? When were turnovers created? This passive approach tells me the DC wasn’t assertive. The HC, with a defensive background, didn’t jump in or correct that orientation.

The offense has been conservative all year. I just don’t think they play to win. Looks to me like they play not to lose.

BirdGangThing sent me one of his blunts and it hit me...
This season is NOT over but it does come down to beating Seattle, San Fran and a split with LA.
All the rest of the games are winnable. The Bucs are most likely the toughest we'll face according to their record but look who they've beat, losing teams with the exception of Seattle...so keep a light burning in the window...ya never know

Are you suggesting they haven't adapted to their players? Because I don't see that at all.

It’s really about what your prioritize when tailoring for players. Had to misuse MHJ and Wilson to optimize Kyler. Without the run game, there aren’t really many complementary pieces on the offense.

I don’t think JG/Rallis had faith in their backups. You saw a lot of the crazy, 5 OLB/5 DB looks Monday night when more players were back.

I’m suggesting it’s clear to me Murray’s style and Petzing didn’t mesh.

What style would Murray mesh with?

Bear in mind Kyler has volunteered several times how he prefers this offense to Kliff's and liked playing in it.

Kyler can't use a pocket. You mean boot him out more? That's a good example of how Petzing did adjust to Kyler. How many times has Kyler thrown to Trey off a boot? How many times have you seen Jacoby do that?

You can only do it so often otherwise defenses will expect it. At the end of the day QB's need to be able to throw from in the pocket.

Many thought they should roll Kyler out more, but from my view he's not accurate on the move anymore (if he ever was). So IMO you can't get him on the move either. He just won't put in the work to be great. The study clause tells me they knew it was a problem but signed him to the big contract anyway. He parleyed his way to high money. Wasted money...again IMO.

By all accounts he has been working hard since the current regime took over.

Working hard physically, hopefully putting in the requisite study (I have my doubts), but still unaware that daddy shouldn't be his QB guru.
I don't even think he knows the playbook very well. Why, all of a sudden, are there no more communication issues with the WR's? There's a reason there was a study clause. There's a reason why he said he doesnt study film "24/7", or have an independent QB Coach. He thinks he's great, and it's everyone else's fault when it doesn’t work out.

I'll just add that we haven't heard Jacoby say " I just run the plays that are called".

I’ve never said he was lazy. He’s just odd. I’ve seldom seen QBs who don’t seem to interact with their teammates when the offense is on the sideline.

Sadly it’s likely the same pitiful plan of putting Beachum over there is the best they’ve come up with so far.
While it’s definitely a disaster, not sure what the alternative is. Both blocking TEs are out for the year. Very questionable if adding a FA would bring more

Sign a free agent. There are always a bunch of TE blockers floating around. Check other practice squads.
