2021 - Prove It
I hate the term generational prospect. lol. I just needed to say that.
Just because you know bidwill and Monti are going to stick it to us doesn’t mean you have to get onboard.I mean, I want Love. But I also know we won't take him. So...just trying to get right with Bidwillesus.
Didn’t know that. Interesting. ThxSame coach who worked with Sewell worked with Mauigoa as well.
I guess but it would also probably be the best bookend OTs we have had for a Loooong time.I feel like we will have spent a #3 and #6 pick on bookend tackles to only get pretty good play. You should have dominant play drafting guys at those slots. You’re oline should be close to dominant as you need to fill three slots with lower grade positional players and can have one that is actually subpar. I doubt an oline with PJJ and any tackle from this draft will ever be dominant because the most expensive pieces are just pretty good and not great.
I agree with this a lot. Thank youSure but generally speaking, a player has to be good before they are dominant. It's more about the skill you are looking to get vs "dominance".
I like David Bailey because I feel his primary strength is rushing the passer and that is what I want my edge to do. I want the potential of an edge who can generate 12+ sacks a season. I think BAiley is the best option for that.
I like Mauigoa because he is technically very sound, young, and can physically compete at the NFL level right away. That is what I am looking for from a top OT. Also, if I am going to be developing a young QB, I would rather have more talent along the offensive line to help that development. I think Mauigoa has the ability to be a top 10 RT in the league.
A similar argument can be made for Love. The biggest issue for Love is that if the line/team sucks, you are wasting a year of a player whose position already comes with a short career window. That said, if I am drafting a RB, I want a guy I can play 70% of snaps, red zone, pass downs, and two minute. Love fits what I am looking for.
Could be. “Probably” is a bit of a reach when we’re zero years removed from PJJ and Jonah Williams .I guess but it would also probably be the best bookend OTs we have had for a Loooong time.
I love Larry Legend and am thrilled we had him. I do often wonder about a what if. I wanted Big Ben that year. Would he have succeeded in the desert and reached the highs he did? It’s all About BPA. The year Larry was drafted, we had already invested heavily at the WR position, and many thought that pick should have been spent on another position of need. Denny called him the best player in the draft and even told the entire league he was drafting Larry multiple times for weeks leading up to it. I remember many thought he was throwing smoke and mirrors, and when we drafted Larry, people were a bit disappointed… We all know the rest of the story…
Take the BPA…
they seem to occur way more frequently than once a generationI hate the term generational prospect. lol. I just needed to say that.
Right. There is no consensus top OT in this draft.i like the player
just not sure he is better than Spencer Fano
I see it like this. I would rather lean towards the two OTs from Clemson than the two from the football powerhouse which is Utah. Lastly, if one is not going to take Mauigoa, then you are better served to take Bailey if still on the board, because Fano had issues facing him.i like the player

Bailey is going to the Jets. We either take the OT from Miami, RB Love, or find a trade partner interested in Love before the Titans draft him at 4. That’s what it boils down to.I see it like this. The joy of this draft for me is that there is. lol. I definitely have a top OT and a top EDGE. It's not particularly close. I also spend way too much time watching college football, and draft stuff. There is also a lot of garbage out there to sift through which can make things confusing. As @kerouac9 would say. #ContentRight. There is no consensus top OT in this draft.
I would suspect with what some call a meh draft, the different draft boards of all the teams should be all over the place. Should be a lot of surprises in my opinion. The joy of this draft for me is that there is. lol. I definitely have a top OT and a top EDGE. It's not particularly close. Love should be very good for 3-4 years. A RT can play for 10-12.Out of Love or any of the OTs, who has more of a chance of being dominant?
That’s a worse case scenario for Love. I see him being as great as Robinson. I’m fine with Mauigoa, Bailey, Love, or a trade down. What I’d prefer not to see at 3 is Reese, Bain, or Simpson.Love should be very good for 3-4 years. A RT can play for 10-12.
Bailey beat him on a couple pass plays…but fano abused him in the run gameI see it like this. And we picked the wrong player….i was screaming for Big Ben….It’s all About BPA. And then trade down for Spencer fano …..Bailey is going to the Jets. We either take the OT from Miami, RB Love, or find a trade partner interested in Love before the Titans draft him at 4. That’s what it boils down to.
Possibly. Or we take Mauigoa. I’d be fine with either of them anywhere from pick 7-10.And then trade down for Spencer fano …..
You might, as a fan; the football community doesn't. It's funny that you lump them is as #content while insinuating your opinion mattersThe joy of this draft for me is that there is. lol. If the cardinals draft love they will give him a bad name…..won’t be able to find room to run behind this line….dysfunctional organizations take running backs in the top 10….lafleur comes from the rams….he knows the rams and hawks would fear the somoan steamroller moreI'd take the guy that can score 20 touchdowns before a RT at 3. It's coaching..it's veteran OL men. A rookie reach for RT ...he'll get owned. Meanwhile Love will score 20 tds in the NFL. No RT will make a difference. Get Simpson, get Love. This stupid franchise never gets it...it stops this year. Make a trade, even involve a player, my favorite player. Get it done. Otherwise Simpson is a NYJ. They will take him at 16. Trade up.
