If people would report these examples, that would be a great help to me and rest of the mods here.

Brit was reported by a number of people this morning.

I don’t read everything that goes on in this board.

So if you think that Brit or anyone else is being picked on report it.
I appreciate you saying this but it’s the same 4-5 guys and it has been for the last decade. Why would anybody pretend to be ignorant of this? We all know who it is. We all know what they do and say because it happens on a daily basis with almost zero consequence ever.

Probably the way his comments come across as a bit snarky. There is a nice way to disagree or counterpoint.
You’re right. With that said, even though I seldom agree with a lot of his positions, he was nice and respectful when he came on here. For a long time. I argued with him plenty of times and everything was respectful. He’s caught more BS and been targeted unfairly and harassed wayyyyyyy beyond the rules of the board are supposed to permit for a long time.

I stan for reasonable takes. That's all.

But this "organisation" is the team I support. If I want to create imaginary scenarios about players, coaches and FO staff to enable me to whine constantly like a teenage girl then I can do that about the Rams, Seahawks and Niners.

I just don't see the point in being CONSTANTLY negative about everything. It's self fulfilling. Especially when the vast majority don't go to games or spend any money to do it (like me).

The guys that go to games, like @Brian in Mesa and others, they have the right to complain as much as they like, they spend their hard earned on it. Yet you will find they are the ones that complain the least, because they are true fans of the team and want them to succeed and see needless forum bitching as the opposite of being a fan.

The rest of us are armchair fans, I can turn off and do something else, it doesn't cost me thousands of dollars a year, it costs me about $150 for a season pass for the whole NFL. I enjoy the games when we play well, it disappoints me when we don't. I will complain about crap play calls or poor play from players in the game threads or after games. I will say if I don't like a FA signing, the decision to cut a player. Real stuff.

I'm not going to invent nonsense conspiracies, or tolerate them without saying anything, when people start inventing that we interviewed 4 DC candidates but really wasn't going to hire any of them because Mike didn't want to burn a million or whatever unrealistic and completely without evidence scenario is made up.

To me, that's not supporting a team. If a Rams or Hawks fan came on here and started chatting crap about the team they would get called out on it. I don't see it any different that it's some guy from Michigan, or Denmark, or Toronto, or the UK that never goes to games and mostly talks the team down.

That's not aimed at everyone here, but there are some that ALL they do is post negative anti Cardinals BS. I think they only come here to blow off steam after a crappy day at work. That's fine, I'm not the forum police, but also don't complain when I counter it. Or do, I don't care, but it costs me nothing to defend the team I support from bad takes, so I will.
Considering my family had four tickets from their first year in AZ through last year I’m guessing cheese and I qualify as these real fans. Not to mention traveling back to az regularly to fork out hundreds of dollars to take my boys to see them get waxed by the rams. Or the gear we buy. Or Sunday ticket.

I just don’t understand blindly defending a bad organization. Because that’s what you’re advocating.

Because it’s not questioning his fandom?
It is name calling though, which @jf-08 just reiterated to the board last week is against the board guidelines.

Why are people doing it? Why are others condoning it? It’s disrespectful and against the rules of the board that we’re all supposed to be able to enjoy.

As a man, I think it’s pathetic to call another man outside of his name, especially on an internet platform where there’s no face to face interaction.

I’m not saying he can’t, just that I don’t think he does. I wish he would.

Case in point:

My wife and I run a business. She’s been involved in the day to day for fifteen years longer than I. We have 30 employees. She’s known them all wayyy longer than me. I know each of their kids’ names. She knows none of them. I know she cares for her employees but I also know she doesn’t feel that that caring and showing concern so they know they’re cared about are two different things. I downsized the company when I came on and only kept people that I’d feel comfortable having at my dinner table with my kids. If I feel that way about someone then, in my mind, I should care enough to know how the kids at their dinner table are doing. If these are the type of men and women I think they are (and want them to be) then they should expect and respect me caring about their family as much as their dedication to their jobs shows their concern for mine. Maybe I’m weird. She def thinks I am. I know firsthand though that being honest, sincere and “in the trenches” so to speak with my employees has earned us a workforce that is widely known to be head and shoulders above that of our rival companies who are 2-3 times the size.

Simply put, I don’t think Mike knows how to be family with his employees. At all. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t have one, who knows? From my experience though, if a man doesn’t think you’ll bleed and sacrifice for him, he’d be an idiot to do that for you. If he’s an idiot, he’s not what I would want in a friend, family member, or employee anyway.
Can’t disagree with any of this.

So calling someone a stan(over zealous fan) is not questioning someone’s fandom? Ok dude
It’s not. I don’t question that he cheers for the Cardinals or that he legitimately roots for them. Maybe you don’t know what the phrase “questioning someone’s fandom” means?

Eh I didn’t call him a Stan. I used it as a verb to describe his actions. Does it matter that I said “stanning for” instead of “blindly sticking up for?” If “stanning” is more derogatory I apologize and won’t use it any longer. I’m pretty sure it means over the top loyalty, or something to that extent.

Enlighten me!

Questioning someone’s positive outlook is just as lame as questioning someone’s negative outlook.
Okay . . . It means claiming someone isn’t a fan.

No one is reporting anyone for criticizing someone being negative or positive. Just for claiming anyone is less of a fan. That’s what the rule is about. People beat up the darksiders all the time. Been doing it for decades.

(Aside: I didn’t report anyone. I don’t report people unless there’s racism, antisemitism or threats. I have thick enough skin to deal with barbs being typed at me).

To be clear @Ouchie-Z-Clown i don’t really care about the term, don’t even realize you were one that said it. Most of us on here aren’t bothered by much whether we agree or disagree.

It just doesn’t make sense to me that we would ban someone for calling out negativity and not doing the same for those that call out someone who by all accounts is overly optimistic in most cases.

Everyone on this board is a real cardinal fan and you can’t convince me otherwise whether you’re negative ans all hell or positive as all hell. I mean how can most of us be here for the last 20 to 30 years talking about this crap if we weren’t, right?

Tbh, I didn’t read all the back and forth. I just know that britcard catches a lotta ish on here and gets talked to in ways that he shouldn’t nearly every day and I don’t even agree with him a lot of the time. He’s gotten snippy with me and I don’t take it to heart because seeing the way he gets mistreated on this board, I think almost anyone would be over-defensive at this point. I read the crap said to him on here sometimes and ask other board members on the phone “wtf is this poor guy doing here still”, which is pretty effed imo.

I’m no saint and have earned more than my share of bans over the last twenty years. My dad has called me and lit me up over the phone for me being an *** on here more times than I could count. It took a while to sink in.

Life is short. Anyone who roots for this team consistently enough that they post on this board is guilty of two things in my mind: Being a glutton for punishment and being that 1% of fans who are so far from being fair weather fans that a decent forecast would eff our whole brain up. We don’t have to agree but the organization punishes and puts us down enough. We don’t need to add to it for our fellow fans here imo.

Fair enough, I just see it as more two sided than that(not enough or too much of a fan).

That being said I agree with what’s highlighted. We can have disagreements and move on. I’ve had my share and been wrong plenty.

Again, it wasn’t for calling out negativity. It was for calling out people/person fandom. There’s a pretty strict rule against that single infraction.

Eh he comes at people in a very aggressive manner. It breeds similar response. It’s tough because we are in a semi-anonymous environment talking an emotional topic (yup sports generates odd emotionality). Everyone should be able to step back now and again and take a breathe.

Keep in mind, there’s people doing that who also openly admit to hating the Cardinals, yet they report people who simply believe them to the moderators.
Who are the people here that openly hate the Cardinals?

A little vodka in that kool aid really helps...LOL
tastes like crap but, you gotta do what ya gotta do
When I met my wife and she wanted to go hard in the paint, she used to pour a packet of crystal light into a fifth of Tito’s. She’d fill her yeti with ice that was that.
