I've never tried Culver's. May have to give it a try someday. If the fish dinner is good, that's a reason.

Too bad. It's one of my favorites with fried/baked fish. They must have cornbread, though, or I'm missing the vibe.
There used to be a restaurant I liked named Poor Folks in Phoenix. I think it may have closed but it was quite good.

Yeah different vibe. They are a smashburger/custard place, that also does fish pretty well.

Nah their burgers and food are over priced and bland.
Give me a 4x4 mustard fried with chilis any day over that trash.

I don't do hush puppies, but no. Wisconsin fish fry is beer battered cod with fries and coleslaw. I used to live Captain D's and Pete's fish and chips was second best. Long John silvers is ok fish.

I liked Long John Silvers years ago before I moved but the last time I tried them, not as much. There aren't any good fish and chips places where I live except maybe Culver's which I haven't tried. I'm not into coleslaw so I'm not sure if it would be worth it for me.
Now put fried okra in front of me and I'm in business.

I'd try about any version right now. I miss fried okra rolled in cornmeal. My mom used to make it along with some great cornbread.
I'm a country boy at heart.
Church's (fried chicken joint) still has good fried okra.
