I've been - for the most part - avoiding this message board this season (too depressing), but does anyone think a high draft pick and an overhaul of the coaching staff is going to change anything? After 56 seasons of watching them (mostly) lose, I don't think I'm going to ever be excited about this team again.

I really don't expect to ever see true success in my lifetime at this point.

That Carter averaged 5.9 a carry behind that patchwork offensive line is pretty impressive to me.

Wow, all our running backs averaged at least 5.0 a carry! That's crazy! 132 yards rushing today, wow.
Amazing with all the backup to backups that were playing

Damnit we’re still .01 higher than Tennessee cause of SOS.
Is SOS based on who you played thus far or does it include the records of the teams you have yet to play? Like if we play a cincy team with a losing record next week and Tennessee plays a team with a winning record (I have Monica who thy play), does it move the SOS?

The former & yea it moves the SOS.

Actually, since Tennessee already played NE & if NE wins tonight, we flip with TEN, us moving to 5th & TEN moving to 6th.

We’ve had fleeting experiences. Plummer. Warner. Palmer. It will happen again. We’ll never actually be a sustained good team because of ownership. But the nfl kind of forces you periodically to be “good-ish.”

That was the mindset when BA was winning one score games at an above average rate, K9 was waiting for the regression that never occurred. So it is *possible* we find a good coach and win for a short period of time. Hell, even Whiz had his system take us to the super bowl, only requiring about 3 HOFers to get his system to work , but it happened :)

The beautiful thing about the BA years is we KNEW we were living in the glory days. I cherished that entire time.

I think this is the worst season since the 3-13 2000 Dave McGuiness team Josiah. This is a nightmare.

Right now 2026 is hopeless.
I forgot to mention athletic trainer. Whatever they are doing being the scenes is NOT working.

And yeah, it’s still alarming to me how many fans still want JG back, even talking to fans at the game today.

The only hope is to blow this entire thing up and hope we pick the right HC like a Liam Coen or Ben Johnson…That’s the only way we could turn it around quickly. We have to strike gold with the HC who will take the roster with its limitations and actually coach.
