MONROE — The Louisiana Sports Writers Association announced its Class C All-State baseball and softball teams for 2026 on Friday, May 29.
Claiborne Christian is well-represented on both the baseball and softball teams. The Class C champion Crusaders have three All-State honorees in sophomores Rylan Davis and Cade Wallace and junior Parker Bearden. Claiborne Christian skipper Josh Uchtmann took home Coach of the Year honors.
Davis is the Class C MVP after registering a 3.40 ERA on the mound and .353 average at the plate. He pitched a one-hit shutout with nine strikeouts against No. 1 Maurepas to clinch its eighth overall title and first since 2022.
LHSAA softball: How the Monroe area excelled during the championships in Sulphur
The two-time reigning runner-up Claiborne Christian softball team has two All-State honorees in sophomores Ariel Brown and Bella Rollins. Brown batted .402 with eight doubles and a triple while Rollins batted .548 with two home runs, 11 doubles, five triples and 31 stolen bases.
