No Eifert. Injury prone. White has been injury prone and a total bust in Chicago. Might be worth a real lowball contract to try to make the team.

From this list sign me up for:

Chris Conley (the Cardinals need an outside receiver, and while he is more of an average player, he shouldn't cost too much)
Nick Boyle (Balanced TE, more of a pass catcher, but decent player)
JaWuan James (Best RT on the market unless you consider Trent Brown a RT)
Brent Urban (Has a ton of 3-4 experience; solid rotational guy)
Preston Smith (more of a ILB in a 3-4, very productive, super underrated player who makes plays in all phases of the game)

A lot of fools gold on those lists. FA is to fill major holes before the draft. Here is who I would have the Cardinals target from that top 50 list:

20. Tyrell Williams, WR
2018 team: Los Angeles Chargers | Age: 27

A 6'4" WR with elite speed just entering his prime. Had a stellar post season for the Chargers. Williams is a strong #2 WR who can stretch the field. He would be the perfect complement to Kirk. He will command top dollar but is worth the risk.

34. Daryl Williams, OT
2018 team:
Carolina Panthers | Age:27

Another OL coming off an injury. Sounds like a guy the Cardinals should avoid but beggars can't be choosers and team are not letting healthy starting OL hit FA. So Williams is the best option at RT in FA. Williams has been a fixture at RT since his second season in the league. RT is a major need for the Cards and Williams could fill that role for years to come.

44. Shaquil Barrett, LB
2018 team:
Denver Broncos | Age:26

A young OLB to pair with Chandler Jones after letting Golden hit FA. Vance Joseph is very familiar with Barrett. Barrett had his best year in 2017 under Joseph.

Would Cards consider bringing HB back? With Baker going back to Safety, can you out him and HB on the field together? Can HB be the slot corner?

Yes it is a possibility.

Even with Humphries cap number, I'd still consider signing a highly paid LT. As you well know, the positions you build your team around is QB, LT, CB, and pass rusher. As others have pointed out numerous times, the Cardinals are actually fairly well constructed at these positions, but Humphries is just such a huge question mark. I think the team still needs to prioritize finding a good LT.
Raises an interesting point -

How valuable is the removal of uncertainty when planning forward?

Can the Cards risk placing most of their marbles on a player at a key position with injury issues? (For the Cards to waste another year trying in vain to find an answer at LT would be a disaster for the franchise). Therefore, do we place our bets on Humphrey or do we instead, set aside budget dollars to spend on a more trustworthy option at LT?

(And of course - come to think of it - are there any free agent or draftworthy LT's or other OL's who are any more predictable than the guy we already have)?

There are no pat answers - SK and his staff will have to do their due diligence, evaluate well and give the odds the chance to break in our favor. (&, of course, have a Plan B and Plan C ready in case the football gods get snarky).
