2027 four-star safety Ta'Shawn Poole is getting set to start his official visit schedule for the summer. The Clemson Tigers (May 29), Tennessee Volunteers (June 5), and Florida State Seminoles (June 19) are on his itinerary.

Poole was recently in Tallahassee for a spring practice in April, which was his second time on campus (visited last November). It was a significant trip for the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder as he felt like he was already a member of the program.

"I just wanna say Coach [Mike] Norvell, I love his energy," Poole said via Noles247. "At practice, he brought me in like one of the players."

It's no secret that Seminoles' head coach Mike Norvell has a seat that's hotter than a steak sizzling in a cast-iron skillet. FSU has only won seven games over the last two seasons, and his future, although it appears to be in good standing for now, has some question marks.

Poole discussed what the future holds with Norvell the last time they spoke. The Peach State product walked away from the conversation very pleased.

"I asked about how long he's staying there," said Poole. "He told me that he talked to the president, that he has a good deal with him. I trust him. If I were to commit right now, I'd be able to play early…to help bring Florida State back."

Poole is the No. 59 player nationally and the No. 5 safety according to the 247Sports composite. In the state of Georgia, he's the No. 4 prospect.

Florida State has four-star safety Mekhi Williams committed in the 2027 cycle, as well as three-star Jemari Foreman. With that said, adding a talent like Poole, who has the range and ball skills to be a chess piece in Tony White’s 3-3-5 scheme, would be a major win for the Seminoles.
