Usually it's just guys with a trade simulator checking out that a trade could work. I agree. Until something more concrete, like multiple sources suddenly quoting the same thing, it's all people guessing.

Yeah, I like to play with the ESPN Trade Machine as well, except a lot of the trades I see mentioned don't work unless the Suns get below the second tax apron.

I'm more eager to see us get under the second apron. I can wait on a KD trade. I want to see us set the table by getting under the second apron.

So the Suns trade Allen before Durant? You have my permission.

I could see Allen moved during the draft. He has value to bring in a late 1st. Whether we can find a team willing, who knows. Also the salary involved coming back is debatable. Any team who could absorb him would help us get under the 2nd apron.

The Nets might do it if we send them another first round pick, but then again, maybe not. They might want a better pick. :)

Possibly Allen gets packaged in a trade?

Detroit has some space, I believe. Maybe Ish calls in a local favor? I don't know. I'd guess he's know by Piston's ownership in some fashion given his background.

What about Allen for Isaac from Magics?

I like Isaac but he's the king of the injured reserve. Dude is hurt more than Beal. I believe he's expiring though and would make that deal. Isaac has a lot of talent and if he can stay healthy he could be a good piece but I would be worried every time he played that it could be the last time he plays.

Isaac had so much potential before he was injured. The Magic have protected themselves somewhat if he doesn't play a certain amount of games, but it's risky.

Apparently Toronto is offering RJ Barret, Immanuel Quickley, and Jakob Poetl for KD. Problem is salaries, the 3 of them make more than KD so no deal due to CBA issues so a 3rd team needs involved to take RJ Barrett as Quickley and Poeltl make some sense here as a PG and C combo.

I know Toronto was a long shot but if someone is willing to give up a couple picks for RJ Barrett, then maybe?

I don’t think Minnesota wants to pay KD past next season which could be the hang up. Reid, Randle and Alexander-Walker are free agents and their rotation is already thin. FWIW Jimmy didn’t want to go to Golden St until they were okay with extending him so it could change.

kd doesn't want to go to minnesota but he's exactly what they need imo

Per Charania, the Suns have also "made clear" to opposing front offices that they're willing to find the best deal available "even if it means trading Durant to a team outside his preferred list."

The Timberwolves could use a consistent high-volume scorer next to Edwards, who led the team by averaging 27.6 points per game in the regular season. Julius Randle averaged 18.7 points on a nightly basis for Minnesota, but nobody else on the roster was able to record at least 15 points per game.
