This Emmitt/Seau thing is not unprecedented and not surprising to me. And in the Bruce Smith case, it would have been a good signing. He had 3 productive seasons in Washington even at an advanced age.

Coach Mac had a youth movement because those were the only players he could get at that time. Draftpics. Coach Mac has said repeatedly this offseason that he you can't win with the youngest team in the league.
