Projects going through positional changes are first round GOLD!He was awful in college as a DT, so sure ..stick him in at DT and this is what happens
The Rams ran the ball right at him and he was helpless.I feel bad for Sweat, Calais, Stills, etc, in the sense that they can get double teamed & nothing positive will come off of it because Darius cannot get off a block to save his life & when he does, he is so slow with it.
All of them were helpless. They were blown off the ball. The Rams ran the ball right at him and he was helpless.
No. If Nkemdiche had DRobs effort he would have stuck in the league. DRob is looking like he was grossly over-drafted. He has not been done any favors by playing a different position than the one he had success at in college.Right now Robinson is looking more like Nkemdiche part deux.
I mean...it doesn't. The reason he doesn't get cut is because he is cheap and can eat snaps along the defensive front. He isn't a cuttable player in terms of a 53 man roster. That doesn't mean he should be a starter tho.Cap dictates they try him again next year.
Stupid question, but does this feel like a Haason Reddick situation to you?No. If Nkemdiche had DRobs effort he would have stuck in the league. DRob is looking like he was grossly over-drafted. I don't care if people call DRob bad because of his play on the field, but it isn't because he isn't working hard (Bryant/Nkemdiche).
He was the best player on the board when picked because he “can eat snaps not a starter”I mean...it doesn't. Or perhaps a Zaven Collins/Isaiah Simmons situation? (Players drafted without a position playing out of position)Stupid question, but does this feel like a Haason Reddick situation to you?

This team is so far from the playoffs and with the impeding Murray cap hit they need to go 1 year at a timei think the question on DRob right now is: can he be a contributing player on a playoff team?
Darius isn’t a DT. His only production in college came as a DE, and that was only for 1 year. Another square peg in a round hole scenario.Or perhaps a Zaven Collins/Isaiah Simmons situation? (Players drafted without a position playing out of position)

I think at this point we better learn our lesson that we shouldn't draft any more swiss army knife/multi position players. It just hasn't worked, and the amount of times we're doing it in the first round is wild.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Darius will be washed out of the league in a couple years.
Switching back to DE will not do anything because he nowhere near has the speed or fluidity to threaten the OT.
I can't agree anymore! Get a player that is great at his position.I think at this point we better learn our lesson that we shouldn't draft any more swiss army knife/multi position players. It just hasn't worked, and the amount of times we're doing it in the first round is wild.
there will be no significant Kyler cap hit by releasing or trading himThis team is so far from the playoffs and with the impeding Murray cap hit they need to go 1 year at a time
He’s on that LJ Collier trajectory.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

That seems to be what Monti felt. I don't know that I have ever said that.He was the best player on the board when picked because he “can eat snaps not a starter”
