The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.
Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2025, questions they face and their roster outlook.
Here is defensive lineman Darius Robinson.
Robinson (6-5, 285) showed signs of improvement in the second half of the 2025 season after his 2024 rookie year was essentially a washout because of a calf injury and the death of his mother that limited him to six games. He played 15 games with 12 starts and had 43 tackles (15 solo), one sack, four tackles for loss, two quarterback hits and one fumble recovery. Robinson played 548 defensive snaps (48 percent) and added 51 snaps (13 percent) on special teams.
In the third year of his four-year, $13.87 million guaranteed rookie contract, Robinson has a $2.06 million salary this season and a salary-cap charge of $3.78 million.
Robinson is one of many players being counted on to make a big jump in his third season. The continuity of the defensive scheme with Nick Rallis returning as coordinator should help him improve as a pass rusher and being stout against the run. He will be eligible to have a fifth-year option exercised by the Cardinals next May, so it will take a very strong performance that includes making game-changing plays for the team to consider doing that.
