Oh I agree...
He played with it but yeah NFL rb's are not going to play 6 days after a meniscus surgery unless it's a playoff game and there's degrees of it.

My left knee I've had a torn meniscus for 8 years now no surgery but then I'm not an NFLRB
It hurts like he'll at the lightest contact for a couple weeks.
But since he has had his surgery already I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in three weeks or so even in a limited role...they can numb the knee, then see what affects a few carries has...monitor him as the game progresses.

As for yours... I also waited years. Had a bucket handle tear.
I only had surgery because I had good insurance..the knee had stopped hurting and no longer dislocated on mr..the cartilage had ground up and was all soft and stringy..I could feel it move around but there was no discomfort.
Having the surgery was a bad decision for me. My knee seemed to get worse. Lots of pain, and arthritis started creeping in after surgery...but the poor result may have been due to reinjury..about 90 days after surgery I was running hoops at Riverview park...fell..slammed my knee into the concrete...all downhill from there.
But even before the fall even simple things like playing with my son on my hands and knees was out of the question...pain was too strong for me...could walk and run fine but kneeling was excruciating.
I don't recommend the surgery if life is fine without it.

He can't come back for 5 games he's on IR which if 4 weeks but they said he has to miss 5 forget why.

I actually have osteoarthritis in both knees, much worse in the one I've had 3 surgeries(the right) but the left has the torn meniscus and has osteoarthritis too. Finally getting my first of 3 shots in both knees next Friday the 10th. Took 2 months to set up for reasons I won't get into on this board.

Yeah same on the osteo...shots didn't help...waiting to get old enough for knee replacements, lol.

At Gannon's press conference today he said Robinson was "still working through the chest... He won't be out there today but we'll see how the week progresses".

I know the team is tight lipped about injuries but that would be downright misleading if it's a torn pec. Sounds like a day-to-day situation.
Could be some type of oblique injury. Those are notoriously tricky to evaluate and could linger for the year.

Bummer. I got gelsyn shots twice and both times they worked for me, much better relief, insurance covers every 6 months. Around 4.5 months the benefits fade they don't last 6 but very helpful. This time I'm getting Orthovisc because of a variety of reasons that would become politics if I spell them out but they rhyme with "mariff".

Took 2 months to get it all sorted out. Doctor tells me Orthovisc is basically identical to gelsyn so I'm hopeful. I've been told before it either works for you or it doesn't no in between so I've been lucky.

and to clarify, I am excited to potentially get DRob back not because of his play, but because I need to see him play to determine if he is going to be a contributor over time, and if Monti is just a terrible drafting GM. It's like Benson. You can't evaluate Trey Benson as your future RB if he can't get/stay on the field.

If build through the draft Monti can't actually build through the draft, I would like to know that sooner vs later.

It usually takes a couple of weeks to get back in game shape. Hard to keep toned with a knee injury.

The status of D-Rob is less interesting than the status of PJ Mustipher.
Really?

Mustipher 12 combined tackles, 1 TFL, 1 pass batted down.

DRob 5 combined tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFLs

Mustipher is what he is. It's like saying Dante Stills is more interesting than DRob. He isn't. Unless you are intentionally misusing the term interesting. Mustipher is a rotational guy. Stills is a rotational guy. Neither have shown an ability to be a difference maker on a defense and both are older than DRob. Mustipher is nearly 2 years older and Stills the same.

It's a stretch to make an argument they are better players than DRob right now, but they are certainly not more "interesting".

This front office is bad at their jobs.
It’s unfortunately looking like you’re right. The draft picks we needed to pan out haven’t done so. We’re doing good on DBs, but WRs haven been second rate at best, D-line picks have been stuck on the injured list, and the one QB we drafted was waived.

DRob is nothing more than a rotational guy. Will he ever be more than that? Maybe on the Cardinals on a bad DL. Otherwise, who knows? Mustipher is more interesting because he's giving a lot for a guy who costs nothing. DRob is about the epitome of boring at this stage in his career. I'm hoping the kid can turn it around, but that remains to be seen.

Again, there is nothing "interesting" about a 26 year old (on 11/10), journeyman DL who doesn't rush the passer. It's a nice pickup and if he can be the 1 mil version of Bilal Nichols, that is great. Nothing "interesting" tho.
