I'm so horrible, I have no stinkin' clue how Dish compares to either Cox or Direct! Sis gave us a gift card for Dish because she knew we were wanting to get something other than stupid rabbit ears. We have had Cox internet for ages now, but lived w/o cable for nearly 2 years. Priorities, the internet is MUCH more important! LOL!

Wife and I went about a year with no cable and it is a wonder we made it that long. The shows on HBO are worth their weight in gold, so entertaining and good. We get all the channels and we consider it an investment in each other. We usually cuddle up on the couch Sunday nights and watch our shows together. Outside of that time we don't see much of each other.... thanks direcTV
