Jody Ohler and Kent Somers were talking on 910 AM radio if a 28 million dollar per year contract now will look like a bargain when Rodgers, Wentz etc deals come up in the next 2 years. The premise was if Cousins is the 9th or 10th best paid among QBs in two years, would it make sense to give him a 28 million dollar contract now? Makes me think.

If they think he's the guy, it would absolutely make sense. I'm certainly not convinced that he IS the guy.

If we only had an elite QB like Brady who constantly takes deals below market value.

and he has a billionaire wife while he is making a measly 25 mil a year. And he was plucked from the 6th round. Yes, let's duplicate that. Blueprint for success.

I'm with you Stout. Now, if the Cardinals did sign Cousins, I would support the guy and wait for him to prove me wrong. I really want a guy in the draft

I agree with you, Stout and Jetstream. If mr. Bidwill, Steve Keim and Steve Wilks thinks Cousins is the guy, then I will adjust whatever I might be thinking of it, and I will go down that road with them.

Also, the other day I heard someone say that to some degree it’s not really about the money for Cousins in the sense that he will get a boatload of them no matter where he goes. Basically, it’s most likely a matter of him getting an extreme amount of money or a little more than that. By that logic, I would think Denver makes the most sense to him but I also don’t think the Cardinals should be that far behind if the two teams want him.

I'd go to Denver if I were him. Best chance for success, IMO.

I think success for him would not be as much as Denver having a better team but the Broncos possibly being in a weaker division... but he has to get through Brady in that conference lol

he aint going to have to get through Brady too much longer. Even if its three more years, he is younger than Brady....and the Broncos made the super bowl just a couple years ago.
