Following the news that the Indianapolis Colts and cornerback Kenny Moore agreed to mutually seek a trade, Moore responded to the news.

In a text with ESPN's Stephen Holder, Moore said, “It’s all good. It’s all love.”

Holder adds that there is "No beef between the parties." This decision is partly due to a "scheme fit issue," a source told Holder.

Without Moore, next man up at the nickel cornerback position for the Colts will be Justin Walley -- a second-year defender who Indianapolis is quite bullish on.

That is one of three reasons why the Colts are likely willing to move on from Moore. We also took a look at how the NFL world is reacting to this news.

Throughout Moore's career, he's limited pass-catchers, allowing 10.0 yards per catch, including five seasons where he surrendered under 10.0 yards per catch. He's also had good ball production, generating 22 interceptions and 68 pass deflections.

Not to be overlooked either are Moore's contributions in the run game and as a blitzer.

The 2026 season is the final year of Moore's deal with the Colts.

Assuming the Colts find a trade partner for Moore, in one offseason, Chris Ballard will have traded away Moore, Michael Pittman, and Zaire Franklin -- three cornerstone players of this Colts team over the last several years.
