Now this is a fun Jaylen Brown trade idea.

Numerous reports indicate the Boston Celticsstill intend to trade the star forward following their failed attempt to swap him for Giannis Antetokounmpo. And, according to NBA insiders Jake Fischer and Marc Stein, one option could be doing a sign-and-trade that would send Brown to the Detroit Pistons for restricted free agent center Jaren Duren.

“One more fascinating scenario that we've been advised not to rule out completely: A possible sign-and-trade run at Boston's perennial All-Star Brown," Fischer and Stein wrote in a piece published Friday for The Stein Line.

"This would certainly require Detroit to be willing to part with restricted free agent big man Jalen Duren in a sign-and-trade exchange for Brown, which would obviously clash with the Pistons' longstanding view that Duren and Ausar Thompson are franchise pillars alongside Cunningham.”

Duren is a rising young star in the NBA.

Drafted 13th overall in 2022, the Memphis product averaged 11.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 0.9 blocks over his first three seasons. But he broke out last season, averaging 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 0.8 blocks while earning his first All-Star nod. Duren also finished 11th in NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award voting and earned All-NBA Third-Team honors.
