What a defensive backfield this would be. With him signed draft a TE and I will be in heaven.

Wow this would be a great signing. Has the length we need. Get this done along with ginn and what a FA for the cards. Sets us up perfectly for SS, OLB, or DL in the draft.

Think of all the different blitzes this would be able to provide with two lock down corners

Ill let him get my sister pregnant if that means he will sign a good contract. Listen Sis it's for the good of the team.

Damn that's your #2 corner can't beat that

Would really like this. Him or DRC. Like the CB from MSU but we're in win mode now. Cromartie isn't spectacular but he has the size and athleticism to create some issues. Better than what we have and for the short term better than what we would get in the draft.

Love this idea. Ginn as well and it would be a very solid FA season setting us up to really rock the draft.

He is a terrible run defender. One funny stat I saw the other day: Patrick Peterson had 5 tackles against the run last year.

That being said Cromartie is hardly a lockdown corner like someone in here claimed.

Not to mention he's getting a little old by now? Not against it though for a number 2 and push powers to nickel...

No he's not lockdown but he is very solid and when you play a team with a great TE you can throw him on that guy the way the Patriots did with Talib last year.

Agree! 'Excited' about Ginn, lukewarm at best about Cromartie.

lukewarm about Cromartie. His best days are behind him. if it's a relatively cheap contract, I'm good with the move, so I'll wait and see if/what he gets before I praise or meh the move.

Kick the tires I say. He wouldn't be the #1 corner and as a #2 like he was with Revis he did well.

Funny that some of the people ripping on DRC in the other thread want Cromartie. Guess who the Jets are bringing in to talk to about replacing Cromartie, DRC.

They are actually quite similar players, neither one plays the run. There was a famous video from a few years back of Cromartie turning and ducking away from a RB, ironically a jet RB and they wound up signing him anyways.

He is older and hasn't recently suggested he might retire but otherwise IMO DRC is better, had a better year last year that's for sure.
