The Kansas City Chiefs could be on the verge of another reunion, as a familiar free-agent face is visiting on Thursday.
According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, free agent defensive back L'Jarius Sneed is visiting the Chiefs on Thursday. After being released by the Tennessee Titans, the former Kansas City starting cornerback could be looking to rekindle the same magic that made him a standout under defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. In late April, Sneed posted a cryptic message on social media, sparking speculation that a reunion with Kansas City could be in the works.
During his 57 regular-season games in Kansas City, Sneed had ten interceptions and 40 passes defended. In the postseason, he had one interception and seven passes defended in 13 games, primarily against the opposing team's top receiver.
Tennessee acquired Sneed from Kansas City in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick and a swap of seventh-round picks in 2024. He would later go on to sign a four-year, $76 million deal with the Titans immediately after the trade. Injuries and off-field issues halted any momentum during his brief tenure in Tennessee.
