The Cards created the blueprint on stopping Vick. That in itself is a complete mystery as the Cards defense hasn't shown the ability to stop anyone or any team. Oh yeah... we still lost....

That was last season. Before shutting down Vick (a couple seasons ago) we were poor at shutting down anything. We got better after shutting down Vick is what I'm saying.

I think it is entirely possible that Vick is not signed soon enough to be fully integrated into an offense this year.

I don't think woever signs him plans on him being "fully integrated" into their offense. I think he'll be a situational player that lines up in a number of different places--but Vick will only need to know a relative handful of plays for that role to be effective.

Where I think you're right is that whoever signs him will likely also want him to serve as the #2 QB...and that'll take a lot of time to learn that role in a new offense.

What Vick could do to defenses wasn't anything that was coached or conditioned into him. He may be a step slower, but that's still fast enough to make him one of the quickest guys on the field just about every week.

I don't think taking two years off is going to be much of an issue. As it was pointed out, he wasn't much of a passer to begin with. His value come in his athleticism--and that's not something he's going to lose at 29.

Vick was never a team cancer. All his teammates loved him. Hell, after he was arrested, the Falcons wore t-shirts under their jerseys saying "FREE VICK". Just because you went to jail, doesn't mean you are going to ruin team chemistry.

Also, difference between Mike Vick and Rex Grossman is Rex Grossman had the best defense in the league. Mike Vick won games by himself because that was not a very good team. He may not be the most prolific passer, but he can make plays.

Not trying to call you out or anything, I almost always enjoy your posts and your positive attitude.

It just seems that the culture of most NFL players and locker rooms is a little different, as you could see with the support of Vick by Clinton Portis, among other players (who were subsequently shut up by their respective teams) Many of his Falcons teammates were in support of Vick as well. I think you'd be surprised at how well liked his around the league, and how many of the players wouldn't care about dog fighting.

They were saying on NFL Total Access this morning that a lot of teams will most likely "re-visit" the idea of adding Vick now that he will surely be back in the NFL in 2009. The Cardinals were one of the highly rumored teams initially interested but then the talk seemed to cool off. With division rivals (Rams & 49ers along with Jax) now being discussed as possible Vick destinations do the Cardinals re-visit the idea of adding Vick before he helps a division foe??

I think Bumble Bee is better suited to play FB, put Optimus at TE. With no clear cut guy there, he would be #2 at the very least. I heard he has great hands.

1) Vick could get back in playing shape in 2 months....Check out the players on Twitter...they say it would be easier to come back from what he has been in then a major surgery...because of the fear factor and the injury factor.....look back at major pro sports players...who left for the military or other...It didn't effect ALI. In fact most boxers balloon up to 30-40 pounds before they start training for a fight....You can't relearn speed....he is still blazing fast!!!

2)And yes defenses would be dumbfounded if Vick lined up behind Warner! What would you do! Linebackers would have to cheat up because if Vick breaks one tackle he gains 30 yds......The Dolphins went from 1-15 to 11-5 because of the THREAT of the Wildcat.....remember they got smoked the 1st 2 games of the season until they implemented the Wildcat.....

3) NFL contracts are not guaranteed!!! SO what is there to LOSE??? Give him a shot.....Fitz and Darnell have both said to let him back in the league...and he has paid his debt...I don't see they would have any problems with him on the Cards.

4)Whiz loves Vick type players....Just look what he had in Pittsburgh....Randle El was a major threat there and Vick is 10 times better than him.

5)I hope we do sign him....Because that means Whiz looked into it.....Graves looked into it...and the players had an input....ANd they don't ask fans!

I know the Cards are not interested as it states on the AZcards board.. But 1 more thing....and someone please explain why so many people here or anywhere hate Vick so much.....Is killing a dog worse than killing a human??? I think driving drunk and then running over and killing someone is alot worse than killing a dog. I fully understand the intentions are alot worse but I bet you 15% of NFL players were into Dog Fighting....Here in the south...Dog Fighting and **** fighting is a major hidden sport...I never been to it and don't condone it...But hear alot about it.......I am sure Vick was not the only player from the Falcons at those fights...HE just took the downfall for it. And Remember Ray Lewis...His posse stabbed and killed someone...He knows who did it and may have been involved...But it was swept under the rug....Pac Man Jones has had 3 chances in the NFL.....Yet Vick is cast aside like some trash.....I just laugh when the fans villify a man and yet don't berate other players or humans. Comparing his acts to the other thugs and criminals in the NFL doesn't justify those acts. The problem for Vick is that he was caught and convicted of "intentionally" doing the things he spent time in prison for.

Just because I eat hamburgers doesn't mean that if I went out and electrocuted and drowned some cows I would be justified or just acting within the culture of hamburger eaters.

Goodell is slow-playing the situation and giving Vick every opportunity to screw up. Which history shows is bound to happen. Was it ever confirmed that he's already hanging out with AI at strip clubs?

I think I read somewhere that the strip club owner denies it, his agent says there wasn't even a chance because Vick was seen elsewhere or something. Everyone has denied that ever happening. I look it up though.

Thank you for showing some logic. The Dante Stallworth vs. Michael Vick argument is getting tireing. Two different things.

I'm still debating with myself on this one. I own an Akita and love him to death. He is the only thing in this world that is ALWAYS happy to see me. I could NEVER train him to fight but I do have relatives out in Lousianna and scattered around the country and to alot of them, dog fighting is a way of life. They don't look at it any different than football games.

The way we think here about those people having no heart/being weird/etc is the same way they think about my family over here. They just don't understand. If thats how Mike Vick was then who's to say being in prison he hasn't learned a different way. Everyone is passing judgement but none of us have spent five minutes with the man to see his points of view from before and after.

But again, I do have a dog of my own and the thought of training him to fight and possibly die makes me sick to my stomach. Again, I'm really on the fence with this...
