Tennessee (20-12, 4-8 SEC) concluded a three-game series against LSU (22-11, 6-6 SEC) on Sunday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Tigers won Sunday's series finale, 16-6, in 12 innings.

Evan Blanco started for the Vols and pitched 6.1 innings. He totaled six strikeouts and 102 pitches, including 68 strikes, against 25 batters. Blanco allowed four hits (two home runs), two runs (two earned) and two walks. LSU hit 11 fly outs and two ground outs against the Vols’ starting pitcher.

Tennessee relief pitchers Brady Frederick (two), Brandon Arvidson (one), Bo Rhudy (one), Brayden Krenzel (one), Chandler Day (two), Nic Abraham (five) and Sawyer Deering (two) allowed runs to the Tigers. The Vols allowed 11 runs in extra innings.

Tennessee’s offense totaled five hits in the series finale, including a grand slam from left fielder Blaine Brown in the third inning.

Cade Arrambide hit four home runs for LSU on Sunday, including a grand slam in the 12th inning. He totaled seven RBIs. Arrambide is the first player in LSU baseball history to hit four home runs in one game.

The Tigers also won their first series in Knoxville since 2016.

Tennessee will next play on Tuesday against Northern Kentucky. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EDT at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The nonconference matchup can be watched on SEC Network+.
