Tennessee (26-14, 8-10 SEC) and No. 23Ole Miss (29-12, 10-8 SEC) completed a three-game series on Sunday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols avoided a sweep with a, 13-5, win.
Evan Blanco (4-2) started for Tennessee and pitched six innings. He recorded eight strikeouts and 110 pitches, including 72 strikes, against 26 batters. Blanco allowed seven hits, three runs (three earned) and one walk. Ole Miss hit eight fly outs and two ground outs against the left-handed pitcher.
The Vols totaled 14 hits in Sunday's series finale. Second baseman Blake Grimmer hit three home runs, while first baseman Levi Clark hit two home runs and third baseman Henry Ford hit one home run. Clark and Ford totaled four hits each in the contest.
Ole Miss won the series opener, 7-4, and Game 2, 8-1, against the Vols. The Rebels won their first series at Tennessee since 2016.
The Vols will next play on Tuesday against Lipscomb. First pitch for the in-state matchup is slated for 6 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).
