Okay, now it's official.
The Denver Broncos have reached an agreement on a one-year contract with free agent safety Tycen Anderson, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted on Thursday morning. The news arrived one day after reports indicated Anderson had reached an agreement with the Broncos on Wednesday evening. Those reports were apparently premature, but Anderson ultimately ended up landing in Denver.
Anderson (6-2, 205 pounds) is the team's first outside signing of free agency after the Broncos previously re-signed 17 in-house free agents. Denver was the last team in the NFL to sign a free agent from another club this offseason.
Anderson was picked by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft out of Toledo. He was a core special teams player in Cincinnati, playing 382 snaps in the kicking game last fall. He totaled 23 tackles in 17 games in 2025, playing 64 snaps on defense as a rotational backup safety.
