Could have should have taken Brunson. Went with another guy... He probably worked very hard at his game as well, but did he compete and win in his situation? Dragan Bender rode the bench. Doncic starred. Brunson starred and won. Elie Okobo (was it?) did he play much in Euro League or did scouts look at potential or small chunk clips? Same thing with Tatum. He was considered slow and not athletic enough but he produced. Hard to know if it translates. Look at college legend (forgot his name). He was no Steph Curry or that little PG traded from the Hawks. I think playing time and production should factor more when drafting players. It is no silver bullet, but I think it matters in many cases. It proves you have the drive to compete and do what it takes to win.
