Marvin Mims is a do-everything weapon for the Denver Broncos.

The two-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro totaled 1,510 all-purpose yards last season, marking a new career high. On offense, though, he only totaled 322 receiving yards — the lowest total of his three-year career — and his touchdown catches decreased from six to one from 2024 to 2025.

Speaking at the NFL combine last month, Broncos coach Sean Payton was asked about Mims' role after the receiver totaled 12 receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown during the playoffs.

“I would say we’re progressively… as you watch, and there’s that balance of snaps, but he’s been showing us that," Payton said of Mims' postseason performance. "I would sometimes say, look, the only one keeping him back sometimes would be just the rotation. Troy [Franklin] has done well in his second year. I go all the way back to that Cincinnati Saturday night game, and we got to see a real special performance. So we have to keep finding him those opportunities down the field. The right balance, of course.”

Mims averaged seven targets in the team's two playoff games, a notable increase from his average of 3.4 targets per game during the regular season. Denver clearly values Mims, but he took a backseat to Pat Bryant and Troy Franklin for much of the 2025 campaign. Perhaps that will change in 2026.
