Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims, a two-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro as a returner, is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract in 2026.

After handing out shoes to students at Kaiser Elementary School in partnership with UnitedHealthcare of Colorado last week, Mims spoke with media members, and his uncertain contract status was a key topic.

Mims said it's "weird" going into a contract year, and he hasn't personally had any talks with the team about a potential extension (he wasn't sure if his agent has started negotiations). Mims understands it's a business, and he's witnessed the team move on from key starters during his tenure with the club.

"Being here for three years, going into Year 4, I feel like I've been here, I've seen a lot of guys leave, in-and-out the door," Mims said. "Been around great vets, been around Russell Wilson and Justin Simmons, so I've seen how quickly this franchise can change, how quickly the business can happen."

Mims was non-committal about his future with the team, but he's going to enjoy being a Bronco for as long as he's with the club. Mims said he's focused on being where his feet are, helping the team any way he can in 2026. What happens in 2027 remains to be seen. For now, Mims is focused on the upcoming season.
