That was me and I said $30 million for just this coming season which would make him the 16th highest paid on average QB. $34M per year is the average salary for a starting QB. JB will make less next year than Ty Simpson ad David Mills.

If Monti and MB are balking at $15 million, then gross.

$15 million would triple Jacoby’s salary but also he’d be at the bottom of veteran starters.

Multiple years, nine-digit contracts are fever dreams.

If $15 million is all he is asking for and I have no reason to believe it is not true, then Monti is an idiot for not locking that down already.

Being obsessed with it and bringing it up over and over is weird. Just because you don’t have a registered agent doesn’t mean you don’t have people who can deal with this stuff.

People just doing whatever they can to let Monti off the hook.
monti looks dumber than the guy with no agent

Bidwill will lose more than 15 million in fan revenue if Brisset walks and we start the Stasch or Beck
You think Jacoby is worth basically $2 million per home game in fan revenue? Or $1 million overall per game? Not a chance, especially with most saying the Cards will be competing for the 1st overall pick with, or without him.

Right? Where's the leverage? Did he go 1-11 or 6-6 last season?

If you don’t think there’s going to be a fan response to a team losing by 7 ppg vs 17 ppg, I don’t know what to tell you.

According to Ticketmaster, the average get-in price is $280 per game. Add in $40 for concessions. That equates to about 6,240 unsold seats per game to make revenue match.

There are also knock-on effects of club level and suit revenue lost because corporations find other ways to spend that money, which has a multi-year impact.

All the people saying Jacoby doesn’t move the needle are the exact same ones who said the team was no worse off losing Allen and Murphy.

I guess it takes some people longer to learn than others. @Brian in Mesa will be in Glendale no matter how diminished the product on the field is. Maybe he’s just hoping for easier ingress and egress?

I doubt that everybody that follows this team and spends money on them know they’re gonna suck with him and without him. Does it really matter? Other than “optics”

You know you’re asking this in bad faith and exact numbers are not available. But what makes more sense:

An attributed report by a member of the local media in line with the statement of a player who personally knows the principles?

Or…

An unattributed statement that could be an AI hallucination or the fantasy of a message board poster or an AI hallucination based on the message board poster’s fantasy?

Only one set of “numbers” are flying about and they’re imminently reasonable.
OT: AI hallucination....is that possibly redundant?? ;)

Monti is incompetent. He’s now created an environment where other players are negotiating his contact in the court of public opinion…for a back up.

PLEASE FIRE HIM.

the problem is Brissete is not starting after week 6 when he likely goes to 1-5 or 2-4 which would make him 2-16 or 3-15 as a Cards starter.

I would’ve bumped him 2 mill and the rest heavy incentives: 250K per start and 250k per win in started games and 500K for playoff wins.

If he said no..cut him or trade for 6th rd pick.
