A new week has arrived and along with it, a new Watertown Public Opinion-Aberdeen News Athlete of the Week poll.
We have 10 candidates (actually more if you count tandems) this week representing high school softball, baseball, boys and girls track, golf, tennis and lacrosse. They are vying for the AOTW honor for May 4-10.
Now it's up to you to decide the winner. Voting will remain open through midnight on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Congratulations are in order for Watertown Warriors girls lacrosse player Sloane Allard for winning the Watertown Public Opinion-Aberdeen News AOTW poll for April 27-May 3.
March 23-29: Bentley Bauer, Mobridge-Pollock girls track.
March 30-April 5: Aubrey Lanners, Deuel softball.
April 6-12: Brady Allen, Milbank baseball.
April 13-19: Olivia Braun, Aberdeen Central girls golf.
April 20-26: Mackenzie Wegehaupt, Aberdeen Roncalli girls golf.
April 27-May 3: Sloane Allard, Watertown Warriors girls lacrosse.
